That just means, I have to keep practicing!!  LOL

*SweetStamps #128

Good morning!
Happy Tuesday and thank for for stopping by today.
We have a new challenge for you at SweetStamps for you to play along this week.
 This weeks theme is:
Christmas Tag
I was planning on working on Christmas tags, but I opt to make a tag for me card, since I found a sketch that I really wanted to work with.  It was from Freshly Made Sketches and besides that, I had the perfect embossing folder for the Classy Deer SweetCuts die. I cut the deer twice and layered it, but did not glue the antlers, because I wanted to make them dimensional. I added a bit of twine to the neck, just to give it a more festive look.
Love the simple and clean look.  I think this may just be in the running for bulk Christmas cards this year.

*From the Heart Sketch #28

good morning everyone-
How was your weekend? Is it still hot, where you are at?
We had decent weather here.  It wasn't too hot nor cold, it was just right.
Especially now that the backyard work has finally started!!
I can't begin to tell you how excited I am.  I don't think Buddy realizes, what is actually taking place back there, he is just enjoying playing with the tools. :) Boys right!!? :)

Well today is at From the Heart, we have a new sketch for you to play along with.
I forgot to upload it this weekend and fell asleep after watching Nanny McPhee with the boys. :)
I was super excited to see a shape card sketch, since I have not done a shaped card in quiet some time.
I followed it to the sketch exactly this week and I love how it turned out.
I am using "July's Stamp of the Month"  Painting Ladybug
Colored the entire image very soft and subtle, to match the beautiful paper.
Here is this weeks sketch:
EVERYONE who enters will receive $1 to FromTheHeartStamps.com. Use it as a discount, or save them up to earn a free stamp. I'll have a new sketch for you next week. Linky will close on Sunday at 10PM EST. Join us on Facebook and “Like” our page to see sneak peeks of the next sketch.

*Inspired by Stamping + SC446

Hello everyone-
How are you doing this Wednesday afternoon?
Today, I am sharing a masculine birthday card I made using Inspired by Stamping: Pirates
I LOVE this stamp set!!!  I have made some incredibly gorgeous masculine card with it, since receiving it.
The set it really awesome for kids to grown men and that is what attracts me most about it.
All the stamping was done with distress ink, since I wanted a vintage rough look.

*SweetStamps #127

Good morning sweeties-
It's Tuesday and I know you know what that means!!!
It's time for another challenge over at SweetStamps
This weeks challenge is:
Christmas Greenery
For my card today I used the beautiful Poinsettia Candles.  I stamped the image with distress ink embossing ink and embossed with Queen's Gold embossing powder, on watercolor cardstock.
I then took out my distress ink markers and went to town.
I love the way this all came together.  The gold embossing really adds elegance to the entire card.
So I had to continue the look to the inside as well.
I used the Cheery Lynn  Designs: Lace Corner Deco E dies to add the final touch to the inside of my card.  Isn't that so pretty!  I LOVE it.  If the coloring didn't take me so long to do, I would really make 30 more of these, for the people on my Christmas card list this year.

*Sentimental Sundays #164

Happy Sunday everyone-
Can I tell you how excited I am to be home.
Sleeping in my own bed and having a warm shower!!!
Argh....it just feels so luxurious!!

Today at Sentimental Sundays, we have a brand new challenge for you.
This weeks theme is:
Christmas in JULY
We are being sponsored by the wonderful and amazing Megan, of Dilly Dean Challenge blog.
She allowed the team to pick an image to play with and I am using Amelia's Joy Banner
Used my Copics to color my image and I added glitter glue to the white spots on her dress.
The letters "J-O-Y" on the banner are also glittered out, but you really can't tell in the picture!! :(

I know I've got a nice little collection of Christmas cards already!! Super excited, since my list seemed to have doubled since last year!!  Yikes!!!  So I will be making a great effort to make at least 6 Christmas cards a month til December.  That should get me to at least 1/2 my list.

So join us this week and show us your Christmas in July cards.
Looking forward to seeing what you create.

Our hop will last for a total of 2 weeks! Plenty of time to create!
Inspired-by-Stamping-July-B
For my card today, I used Sketch #1.
Now if you visit my blog often, you know I LOVE sketches.
Sketches for me, really jump start my creative gears and can really end up turning out just like the sketch or take my creation to another level.  You just never know.
For my card I am using Arrows, Fancy Labels 2 and  Summer Postcards Add On.
I had to mask the hearts from Summer Postcards Add On to create the eight shape.  I wanted to create an enclosed circle, sort of to protect the hearts.  Keeping them safe and together.
Here are all the details…

Create card or layout using the sketches provided. (Any size card works wonderfully with these sketches)

Deadline is at 1pm Brisbane time on the July 4thor 11pm EST, August 3rd.
Links not linked back to us will not be considered for the monthly prize.
Please upload your card/project to your blog or online gallery. Leave a link to your project using the linky widget at the bottom of this post. When uploading to online galleries please add IBS Blog Hop to your post.

Happy Friday everyone-
Well I am almost back from vacation!! Have you even noticed that I've been gone??!  :)

Well it is time for another challenge at Stamp and Create w/ Magnolia.
The challenge theme, for the next 2 weeks is:
Christmas in July
For my card today, I am using Dancing with Stars Tilda, which I have colored with my distress inks and markers.  I am really loving coloring my images, especially my Magnolias in this medium.  I have used MME: Lost & Found Christmas for my background paper. Added tons of Stardust the edge of the card base, Tilda's wings and the rolled flowers. Crystal glitter glue the trim of her dress.
The base of the card was created/cut using my Silhouette.
Hope you aren't blinded by all the bling but, I do love the way it all looks.

I am excited to say that I have started my Christmas cards already!! I have been taking great advantage of all the Christmas in July challenges and this is my first Magnolia Christmas too! :)

*Pollycraft Challenge #3

Morning!!
Happy hump day everyone.
I hope that you are all enjoying your Summer days.

It's time for another challenge over at Pollycraft Challenge Blog
It's Shelley's turn to host and she has chosen the theme of:
RUBY RED
I am using Lil Dumplings - Queenie today and I love her hair.
Earlier this week, there was a question about how to color curly hair.  Curly hair can be tricky and I tend to stick to the dot technique.  It's very forgiving and adds great texture too.
So when I was selecting my image to use, I chose Queenie, just so I could use the dot technique. :)

Isn't she ADORABLE!!
Loved coloring her and adding lots and lots of glitter on her!!
The Polaroid and banner are both die cuts from Silhouette.

So join us this week and check out the amazing creations created by the rest if the team.
Don't forget, up for grabs is certificate to the Pollycraft Store

*SweetStamps July Monthly Challenge

Hello everyone-
It's the 15th of the month and that means it's time for another technique challenge over at SweetStamps.
This months challenge, I LOVE and it's so much fun.
The theme for this months challenge is:
DRYER SHEET TECHNIQUE
O-M-G!!!  O-M-G!!!
First, of all I have not used dryer sheets in ages!!!  LOL
I had to hunt down dryer sheets from my 99 cent store, just for this technique!!
No, before you start your project....Please make sure you use good super sticky tape!
This is very important and I am sharing my "OOPS" with you, so it will save you the frustration.

So I colored my "Wreath" image with my Copic markers.
I added Antique Linen distress ink to the edge of the die cur, after running it through the machine.
Then I cut two strips of the super tacky tape and laid it on top of of my colored image.
(When I did it the first tie, I ran the image through my Xyron and the tape did not hold the dryer sheet)
Then I laid the dryer sheet on top and gently rubbed the dryer sheet in place.
Now, don't rub too hard nor too much, or the fibers will loosen and start to fray.
I laid the die back on the image and ran through the die cut machine again.  You may find that you need to use your scissors to clean up some of the lose fibers.
Sprinkle fine glitter over the image and tah-dah!!!

It is a great technique with such an impressive result.
I finished my image off by adding gold, red and white pearls to the top of the dryer sheet.
And a tiny bow.
