*SweetStamps #119

Hello my sweet friends.
Oh what a  great weekend we had here!!
Lots of sun, fun and great food!!  Yummy.
It was much needed time with the family, friends and a change in our everyday routine too.

So, today at SweetStamps we have a F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. challenge for you.
This weeks theme is:
FLOWERS
For my card today, I am using Autumn Blooms, which is from one of my favorite ATC stamps from SweetStamps. I stamped the image with my new French Roast, Ink Spot and colored with my Copics.
The paper is from Farm House, called  Sugar Hill.  They worked so beautifully with my colored imaged.
Once I cut the image out, I rubbed the inside of the frame with Antique and Walnut distress ink.
I added twine and a bottom to finish off the card.

*From The Heart Sketch #20

Hi everyone and happy Monday!!!
Today we have a new challenge for you over at From The Heart.
I really loved this sketch and decided to take it one bot further than I normally do.
Yes...I made a layout!!!  I am so excited about it too!!
My son, Buddy loves his Giraffe Michael.  He lives at our local zoo and we try to visit him at least once a month.  The first thing we do is purchase to tickets to feed Michael.  That way Buddy gets to spend a little extra time with his friend.  He's can identify him from the herd in a minute and I think that Michael knows Buddy too.  It seems crazy to say,  but I am so serious.  When we last visited, Michael was at the far East of the den and right before it was Buddy's turn, Michael came and ran the other 2 giraffes that were there.  So it was just the two of them.
It is such a wonderful sight and feeling seeing Buddy and his pal Michael.
We just got updated that Michael is also now a daddy to two new calves: Dane and Sunshine!!
So I had to attach this sentiment which reads: "Simple moments make great memories"

So here is this weeks sketch:

EVERYONE who enters will receive $1 to FromTheHeartStamps.com. Use it as a discount, or save them up to earn a free stamp. I'll have a new sketch for you next week. Linky will close on Sunday at 10PM EST. Join us on Facebook and “Like” our page to see sneak peeks of the next sketch.

*Stamp and Create w/ Magnolia #10: Shaped Card

Good morning everyone-
I am on a good roll this weekend!!
I got so much coloring done....It feels so good!!!

So today and for the next 2 weeks, Stamp and Create with Magnolia, is challenging you to create a shaped card.  For my shaped card, I turned to my Cameo for help.  I don't have (Shaped) dies bigger than 5 1/2".
So I sorted through their enormous gallery and chose this "Eight Sided Ogee Arch Doily".
This is my favorite Magnolia image:  Tilda with BIG ice cream.
I have colored her with a combination of distress ink and tombow markers.
I used beautiful paper from Simple Stories: Vintage Bliss.
The flowers are from my good friend Archana
Here is a close up of my coloring.

Monster Wishes

Hi everyone-
Happy Thursday to all of you!!

I have been sort of down lately...I know bummer right?
Well, I know the famous saying, things happen for a reason and I believe it.  I do!!
Though sometimes it takes that special someone to just, clarify it and put it into a different perceptive for me.
So after much chatter and thought, I am doing just fine!!
Seriously, I am...I doing great!  Now, it's time for me to get back on my "A" game! :)

I feel as though  I got my Mojo today, because I completed 4 cards!!
I know crazy right?!?
I can't remember the last time, that has ever happened to me!!
So last night, I couldn't sleep, so I printed a few images and just started coloring.
I am sharing with you Party Monster, from Pollycraft. He's SUPER cute right.
Yes...Pollycraft is BACK!!! Yes, folks, she's back and has the cutest images in store.
I have boys and they are no doubt my little monsters.  So when I saw the new monster images, I just had to get them all!! LOL!!!  What can I say, I'm a sucker for cute monsters and fairies!! :)

This cute fella was colored with my Copics and the ever so cute sentiment is from Penny Black: Dino Party.
Patterned paper is from Echo Park: All About A Boy.  The enamel dots you see were sent to me as a gift from my F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S friend Sherry, who is a queen of CAS cards.  Thank you girl!!!  :)
I added some glitter glue to the candle flare and the party hat.

Well that is all from me today...I will see you back tomorrow for my Stamp and Create w/ Magnolia post.

dream, hope, believe.

Hello everybody!!
I figured I would jump on really quick, before heading to the park and show you a card I made using Hope and Dream image and sentiment from, From The Heart.
When I first saw the image, I automatically thought mixed media, but since I am not to skilled in my mixed media abilities, I stuck to my comfort zone!!!  LOL
I am using this weeks sketch too!!  Thought it was a perfect collaboration between the sketch, colors and image.
This is the inside of my card using the sentiment that comes with this beautiful image.

Like I said earlier,  I am using this weeks sketch over at FTH #19, click HERE to join the weekly fun and a chance to win some free images.

SweetStamps #118

Hello sweeties-
How is your week going so far?
LOL...Well it's only Tuesday...lets enjoy the rest of the coming days with a new challenge.
Today, at SweetStamps out theme challenge is:
ANYTHING GOES
Have you seen the new SweetCut Dies from SweetStamps?
OMG....Yes...OMG...They are amazing.  I mean seriously.
These dies cut so well and are so cute too!!!
The SweetStamps Sweeties,  are all doing the "Anything Goes" Challenge using and the SweetCut Dies.
I promise you, you will want to see these creations.

For my project sample today, I went clean and simple, using "Flourish Medallion
I used my Silhouette to create my box.
Using the "Flourish Medallion" die, I cut 8 pieces out of white cardstock.
I cut 4 squares that would fit perfectly behind the medallions.  I applied double adhesive tape and then applied my new and favorite glitter: Glitter Ritz: Peacock Blue.  I then glue the cuts on top of the the glittered squares and applied to the top of the box, along with bling for the center.
I also made 4- 4x4 mini cards, that fit perfectly inside the box.
The centers of each card was created using the same glitter: Glitter Ritz: Peacock Blue, only this time it's been placed on the top of the die cut.  It really pops and on the white background.

You really don't want to miss the creations, created by the rest of the DT.
They are really and truly amazing!!!

Hey Gorgeous!

Hi everyone-
This week has been a very long, exhausting and refocusing type of week.
Sometimes people and situations happen that make you take a step back and think.
Make you think of redoing your priority list and really figuring out the importance of life.

I don't want to bring you all down, but this card is created with a purpose.
It is for my sons' friends mom, who has lung cancer.
A beautiful woman, with a bald head and a BIG heart.
A dedicated mother, wife and friend.
The dress form was created using Spellbinders dies tulle and Sage seam binding from Inspired by Stamping Store.
I created three layers, with the repeated pinch, fold and glue motion.
The top of the dress form is created using two layers of the same crochet lace.
The bling around the hip area is from Prima Marketing: Crystal Sheet.  Love this stuff, cause you can cut as much or as little as you want.  The resin flower is a brad from The Girls' Paperie.
I also had a need to add a feather, but the feather I had did not have the point.
So I cut a pinch from further down and grouped them together and glued. Love how it looks!!
The 'Hey Gorgeous' is from the Spring Blossoms, stamp set.
This is the inside of the card.
I used a sentiment from Trendy Circle Sentiment Stamp set, which is one of my favorites.
The textured paper, really didn't allow for a smooth image, but it's still readable.
I added an oval bling, which I found in my stash from Want2Scrap.
I had to show you a close up of this next picture, instead of trying to explain it.
Do you see the glitter in the back of the dress form?
I stamped Delicate Doilies, using a glue ink pad.
Once it dried I sprinkled some fine glitter over it.
The look is very subtle, but so pretty in person.

SweetStamps Monthly Challenge

Hello again-
Hope your Tuesday morning is off to a great start.
Today at SweetStamps, it's time for our monthly challenge.

This months challenge is:
Flip Flop (Swing) Card
I have only made this card once before and I really loved the way that card came out, but I thought it was a little too big.  You can check it out HERE. So this time around I did scale things down a little!! :)
I found a cut file at the Silhouette Store, which worked out perfectly.
I am so pleased with the results of my card today!
I love the colors and so very cute Baby Bear stamped image, which is paper pieced, using the same Teresa Collins: Tell Your Story paper, that I used throughout the card. Do you see that intricate die behind the bear?
That is SweetStamps newest and greatest items.  It's their SweetCuts Die: Mini Medallion.  These babies cut like butter....The piece just fall out after just one run through the machine.  Now I LOVE that.
This is the other side of the card when opened.
I used a beautiful sentiment called, Taking a Moment.
I added two flowers, which again are part of the new SweetCuts Dies:  Mini Flowers 2
Here is a close up of my paper pieced Baby Bear and part of the medallion.
So there you have it, a Flip Flip A.K.A. Swing Card.
You can find a tutorial HERE.
Really hope that you will take the challenge this month and join us.

SweetStamps #117

Good morning friends-
I hope that all my beautiful, strong, devoted and creative lady friends had an amazing Mother's Day.
The boys took me out of the house and kept me off my phone!!! :)
We had an amazing day and I am so blessed to have an amazing husband and 3 amazing boys.

Today we have a new challenge for you to part take in at SweetStamps.
This weeks theme is:
SPRING

When I think of Spring, I think of fruits.  I love taking my kids to the farm to pick strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, tangerines...etc.  So with that thought in mind, check out my card.
Isn't she just the cutest thing!!
Please meet, Strawberry Bear.  She is not new to SweetStamps, but she is new to me.
I pulled out my dusty Prismacolor Pencils and took sometime to color her.  It's been a long time since I have colored with my pencils, so you will see I did get a little heave handed in a few spots...oops!
I love the results and i am loving my pencils again!:o)

Love YOU

Good morning!!
HAPPY MOTHER's DAY, to all women out there!!
I hope that you all have a beautiful day with your loved ones.

Which brings me to today's challenge over at Sentimental Sundays.
This weeks theme is:
FOR A SPECIAL WOMAN
We are being sponsored by Delicious Doodles this week and had the opportunity to play with some of their gorgeous images.  I chose to work with Fairy Fae.
I really enjoyed coloring this image and putting this card together. It has more layers and elements than I normally do, but I love it.  My cardstock is from Bazzil and my patterned paper is from MME: Lost & Found 2: Breeze.  I used a lot of dies on my card too.
Lots of Cherry Lynn Design dies.  I am loving my newest addition, Lady Kate Edger.
I LOVE this new dies and I can't wait to add the other 2 to my collection!!! My flowers were cut using Tim Holtz distress cardstock.  LOVE IT!  First time using it and I LOVE it.
Here is a close up of the flower cluster, created using Memory Box:
All my butterflies are covered in glitter, black pearl ink and the wings painted with crackle paint.
I really tried doing  a lot on this card and I hope I didn't over do it.

So whether you are making a card for Mother's Da or for your best girlfriend, we would love to have you share it with us this week.  Make sure to visit the blog and check out the amazing cards they created for that special woman on their lives.

Love

Good morning everyone-
Are you ready for tomorrow?
Do know what your husbands/boyfriends/kiddies are getting you or preparing for you?
Our are you like me, it's just another day and enjoy it with your families.
Well whatever you do or have done for you, enjoy it and preserve the memory.

I want to share a cute little card that I made using For You Mouse, by From the Heart Stamps
This image is this months Stamp of The Month Freebie.
Play along with the challenge by purchasing the image. Then you can enter the challenge and receive next month’s digi free. OR if you spend $10 in theFrom The Heart Stamps store this month, you can enter code 4YOUMOUSE to receive this as a free gift. (Make sure your purchase doesn’t include this image or you will receive 2).
Isn't he just the cutest?  I really like him.
He is perfect to give away for any occasion and person.  I think we will be giving this one to grandma tomorrow, from the boys. I think's a cute little gesture card for Mother's Day.

I used my very neglected paper pad by EP: For The Record 2.  Also pulled out an old embossing folder that I have not used in ages; Craft Concepts: Daisy Do.  I think it works really well with the printed paper. My ribbon is from May Arts, it actually has a little shimmer around the edges of it.

YoHoHo

Good afternoon matey's!!!
Sorry, Buddy and just finished watching Jake the Pirate!
So have you been keeping up with IBS May Stamp Release?
These new stamps are seriously amazing!!!
Click to preview DAY 1, DAY 2 and DAY 3.

Today, is my non-posting day, but decided to still make a card. I had a little help too!!
See, told ya I had some help!!
For my card today I used the Pirates  and Creative Tags, all from Inspired by Stamping.
The ship has been stamped on vellum and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The same with the tag, only I stamped it on kraft cardstock. I used one of my new embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts, which created the diagonal lines.  Aren't those the coolest screws?
Those are from Prima and I had to use them.  Thinks it really adds that masculine touch to the card.  And lastly the patterned paper is from Prima: Engraver.

SweetStamps #116

Good morning sweeties-
Tuesday is here already!!!
Can you believe that Mother's Day is next weekend?
Buddy came home from running errands with dad today and told me that they had a surprise for me!!
Really?  A surprise?! He said: YEP, it's a necklace!!!  LOL
So I already know what my Mother's Day present is.  I have a necklace with all my boys birthstone.
So this year we are adding Tommy's stone to it.  So that is the necklace he is referring too.
With that being said, this weeks theme at SweetStamps is:
FOR MOM

I just LOVE how this card came together!!  I had a different idea in mind, with lots more die cuts flowers and pearls, but once I finished coloring the image, the idea completely changed. I stamped the Vase with Memento ink and created a mask for it.  I stamped the Rose and Bow Bouquet, on top of the mask too look a bouquet of flowers in a vase.  It really came out very, very good.  Colored the flowers with my Copics.  The vase was created using patterened paper from  Glitz: Cashmere Dame. Added pearls to the centers of the flowers and surrounding the flowers.  Stitched my card to the TH cardstock and adhered it to kraft cardstock.  Stamped the sentiment with Memento ink and backed it with the same TH red cardstock and placed it across the vase.

IBS May Release: Mason Summer Jar

Welcome to DAY 1 of Inspired by Stamping May Release.

I am so excited about this months new release.
These new stamps are amazing and so fresh in so many ways.
The first stamp set we are showcasing today is: Mason Summer Jar
Inspired-by-Stamping-Sneak-Peek-1
This is one F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S stamp set. When I saw the sample set, I was so excited.
It is complete with fruit elements, stems, leaves and a jar!!
So being that the Strawberry Festival is just two weeks away and the streets are covered in advertising banners, this was a clear sign of what was going to be the focus of my card/creation.
I found myself wanting to try something new and pulled out my little canvas bags.
I stamped one strawberry on the bag and was pleased with the results, so continued with a few more.
I was so excited and extremely happy with my little strawberry bags.  The details of the strawberries were till clearly visible...YEAH!!!
I also used a stamp tag from the Creative Tags stamp set, to create the tag on the bag.
It really did add the finish touch. :)
My card was created using another one of our new stamps being release this week as well.
I stamped the strawberries with white dye ink on kraft cardstock.  I then stamped over it again, with my red ink and just a bit off centered, so that the white would show more.  Love the results.

So there you have it, my examples showcasing Mason Summer Jar stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed my samples and will visit the rest of design team, to check out their amazing projects.
