Happy Easter everyone.
Hope you are spending it well and enjoying this time with your loved ones and friends.
Today at Sentimental Sunday, we have a new theme for you to play along with.
This weeks theme is:
SHAPED CARDS
Isn't that a gorgeous image. We are being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and I decided to play with Scene It-Easter  I blew this baby up too!! :)  I wanted it to be the subject matter of my card and I love the oval shaped doily.
This is the inside of the card.  The sentiment is from, From the Heart, Elegant Easter Sentiments.
I did some fussy stitching around the card.  Colored with Copics.  The patterned paper is from Prima Marketing: Hello Pastel.

So come on by, say hello and play along if you can.

Happy Spring

Hi everyone-
I am finishing up some of my last minute Easter cards, that will be finding their way to new homes tomorrow.
So before placing them in envelopes, wanted to pop them on here and share them with you.
For this card today, I am using an image called "Easter Egg Tulip"  which can be found at From the Heart
I have images that have been colored, just sitting around screaming to be put together.
And of course, I LOVE sketches.
I used this weeks sketch from There She Goes.
Love the way it came out and I hope you do too.

I will see you all back here tomorrow morning with some more posting of Easter cards.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Sketchy Friday #13

Morning.
I am so glad it's FRIDAY!!!
And it's time for another sketch challenge over at, Sketchy Friday
I love this weeks sketch.  I so many ideas for it, but being on a time constraint, I had to do what came naturally.  Clean, simple and some stitching.
Here is this weeks sketch:
This is my interpretation of the sketch:
Very fresh and clean, eh?!?!
Can you tell that I am ready for Spring?!?!
I am...I am so ready!!  LOL
Did you check out my fancy stitching?  Nothing fancy about it really, just getting silly with the sewing machine.  That's all!!! LOL

Remember that if you join us using SKdigis, the win is double.  Hope to see you next time and thanks for using Sketchy Friday sketches.

IBSIC #52

Hi everyone-
Happy Thursday to all of you.
Are you ready for another color challenge?
I hope you are, cause I love this weeks color palette and could not miss the opportunity to play.
Isn't that just lovely?  I love kraft, so this weeks color challenge was seriously screaming my name.
I wish I could display flowers around my house like that photo.
Here is my sample card for this weeks challenge.
I decided to do a step card this week.
Step cards, to me demand attention.  They seem so complicated, tricky and sophisticated.
You can do so much or so little and they always look amazing.
I used Little Flowers for my card today.
I cut the frame with my silhouette and rubbed the edges with antique linen distress ink.
I them stamped the flower with Bamboo Memento ink.  I stamped the same image using Paris Dusk Memento ink.  I put the frame in between one of my embossing folder and ran it through.  I love the look and texture it gives the image.  I then did some fussy cutting, with the flowers I stamped with blue ink.  I placed those flowers onto of the embossed frame added mini pearls to finish it off.
I even finished off the inside of the card.  I used a sentiment from the Fancy Sentiment set.

Before, I leave you today.  I want to inform you of some changes that are being made over at IBSIC
With all the other Inspired by Stamping challenges that we offer from WHW Tutorial Challenge, IBS monthly blog hop and the IBSIC, we decided that it would be best to move this challenge to Joanna's blog as well.
IBSIC #52 will be the last challenge on IBSIC website. IBSIC #53 will be held on April 11th on Joanna's blog and will last 2 weeks. IBSIC will become a monthly color challenge held every month on April 11th.

SweetStamps #110

Hello everyone-
Today and I am late posting my card for SweetStamps Challenge today.
I have to be honest, it's been a LONG 3 weeks.
The boys got the stomach flu and Tommy had to go to the ER to get fluids and medicine to stop him from purging from both ends.  The feeling, from seeing my little one so sick is really indescribable.
I just wish I could take it all away.
So in trying to get everything and everyone back to normal, my assignments had to take a back seat last week.  Now I am playing catch up and now getting started on Easter.

Which brings me to today's challenge this week.
This weeks challenge at SweetStamps is:
EASTER
This is Taylor the Bunny, the newest lil' Sweeties created by Jacqueline Hill.
I have stamped him on watercolor paper and embossing with detail black embossing powder.
I have colored this cutie with my distress markers.  Here is a close up.
I wanted to make a card for one of my boys, so I had to stay away from the pinks.  I used MME: Fiddlestick, because the colors were muted, but still had pastel tones to them.  I stamped the sentiment "Happy Easter", on a wood veneer. You have to heat set the ink, when stamping on the wood veneer and I learned that hard way. LOL

IBS: Chalk Technique Blog Hop

Good morning-
I am so excited about today's hop and I hope that you are too!
There has been a new technique swarming around lately and I am so glad that Joanna picked it as this month challenge hop.  I love the look and have never tried it til now!!!
I knew right away which stamp set I wanted to play with.
I pulled out the Pirates Stamp set, which is one of March's new release and went to work.
Here is my sample card.
I took my anti-static pouch and rubbed it all over my black cardstock.
I then stamped my image with Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.
I used a sketch from Deconstructed Jen, that worked great in showcasing this technique and stamp set.
Once I trimmed the black cardstock, I outlined the edge with a white color pencil and  even drew birds around the boat.  Did you catch that? Had to distress the edges, add twine and a charm.  Very fitting.

Would you like to see more amazing inspirational cards?
You must check out what the rest of the team created.
Here is this weeks blog hop line up:

When Faith sent over these images, I really fell over heels for Easter Bunny.
Didn't I tell you!!  He TOO cute for words!
This fella has been colored using my Copics and patterned paper is from Echo Park: Sweet Girl.
I really love this new line. It's fresh and bright.

Scribbles Designs Challenge: March

Hi everyone-
I hope that your week is off to a great start.
My post today, is coming to you a bit late since my little ones are sick.
Not the best week, but we will get through it.

So this months challenge over at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog is:
GREEN or EASTER

Sandy offers a freebie on the site and a full range of other amazing images that you can purchase from the store, HERE.   Here is my sample for this months challenge.
I am using Mr. Wool Shamrock. Isn't he adorable?
I wanted to bathe him in liquid applique, but I thought he may get lost. LOL
So I just outlined him and colored his balloon clovers with Copics.
Bugaboo Stamps is our sponsor this month and the sentiment you see there comes from HERE.
I used some Echo Park paper and green pearls to finish the card.

So I hope that you will join us this month. There is a freebie on the site, so come by, join us and play with us.

SweetStamps #109

Good morning my sweet friends-
This week at SweetStamps we have a really special challenge for you.
This weeks challenge is:
Crosses
We just recently baptized our goddaughter and what a blessing that was, to be chosen first of all, but to be apart of this beautiful girls life.  I have three boys and now having her in our lives, makes it that much brighter.
She is actually coming on Thursday and we are super excited!!!
Here is a picture of Mariah and I.  We took pictures after the baptism and I loved this shot.
So my project today was inspired by this day.
When I saw the challenge for "Crosses", I knew exactly what I wanted to create.
So here is my sample for this weeks challenge.
I wanted to create a very delicate, clean and simple invitation.
The base of the invitation is a Spellbinder die.  The Fanciful  Flourish is one of my favorites, by Cheery Lynn designs, along with the flowers which came from Build a Flower #2 Embellishment Kit
Do you see the cross?  Isn't that beautiful?  I took the Cross-Small and inked it with glue ink and stamped it on the base card. I let that dry for a bit and then sprinkled Glitter Ritz: White over the top and gently rubbed it into the glue.  I LOVE this glitter...it's ultra fine and leave such a soft and smooth finish.  Then to finish the invitation, I stamped You Are Invited, with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

We had a rough week...Still lots to finish, but at least there is some direction with it all.

Today is the start of a new sketch challenge over at From The Heart
It's pretty straight forward and simple too.
Here is my sample card.
I used Hello Bunny, which is a new image to the store and the sentiment is from the Hello Sentiment Pack. I colored my image with Copic and the patterned paper is from Fancy Pants Designs: Park Bench.
My hubby surprised me one week with a box full of goodies, take contained a great deal of new releases and I am loving them all.  Thanks babe!!! MUAH! ;)

So I hope that you will play along with us this week.
You don't  to use a FTH image, but if you need one or want one, there a great deal to choose from.

Sketchy Friday #11

Good evening everyone-
This post is coming to a bit late this evening.  So much going on at my household at the moment, that just when I think I'm ahead of the game, I get the rug pulled out from underneath me and I fall behind.
Things should be back to it's normal schedule by Monday.

So anyways...Today is Friday and that mean time to get sketchy.
Here is this weeks sketch for Sketchy Friday!!
It's actually an easy sketch. It's not too simple or too intimidating.
So here is what I came up with using one of the newest digis to the gallery: FAIRY
She looks like a red head doesn't she?  I love it!!! :)
I used one of my favorite and almost finished paper pads by MME: Market.
I've colored the image with my Copics and glitter glue for her wings and want.
The sentiment "wish", is from PTI, along with the card stock.

So I hope you will join us this week and every week for that matter.
You do not have to use a SK digi to join in the fun but, if you do, then you double your winnings.

Look forward to seeing this week.

Wax Resist Monthly Challenge at SweetStamps

Good morning everyone-
It's the 15th of the month and that means it is time for another monthly challenge over at SweetStamps.
This weeks challenge is:
WAX RESIST

This is the first time, I have ever done this technique and I was pretty excited about doing it.
I just wonder....how are these amazing techniques found/created..by accident?
Anyways, here is what I created as my sample.
You can find a tutorial for this technique HERE
When I took the wax paper off the glossy paper, I couldn't see anything and I thought, great it didn't work.
Once I started applying the ink...the image started coming through, like magic!!

Fiesta Party at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog

We're thinking we should have some fun!
So we're having a
Fiesta Tuesday!!!
Sandy gave a double challenge to us Scribblers...
First, we were matched to a number between 1 & 6
Second part of the challenge was a Fiesta color to use as an accent with our image.
I was given #211 Brrr-ubbles and the color Purple as my challenge and here is what I came up with.
Isn't he just the coolest Penguin you've seen.
When I read Sandy's email and i saw PURPLE..I was lost for days.
So I just started flipping threw my paper stacks until something jumped out at me.
I went with this brightly colored paper by Echo Park.  Once I had the paper I went town coloring it, which is always the fun part for me.  After I finished I realized that I had too much space it needed something else.
A sentiment, duh!!!  LOL  I was torn between, :So reday for SUMMER" or What time is the PARTY?
So I went with Party because after all, we are having a Fiesta....WhppppAAAAA!!! ":)

If you want one, two or all of the new images, they are available now at Scribbles Designs...

Reading...

Good morning-
We have a fun challenge for you over at Sentimental Sundays this week.
This week we want to see:
3 Embellishments That Start w/ "B"

We are being sponsored by ADFD and I chose to play with Book Time.
I read to my boys all the time and made an instant connection, the moment I saw the image.
The 3 B's I am using on my card today are: banners, button and burlap twine.

I colored the image with my Copic markers and paper pieced the book and the dress, using Teresa Collins: Stationery Noted paper. When the glue finished drying, I place the image inside my embossing folder (checkerboard) and ran it through my Grand Calibur.  I love the way it came out...I had never tried this before and  had decided on doing this because I didn't like how the paper piecing looked around the girls head.  I also ran out of ink and couldn't print another image, so I said let's try something new.
The embossing, just made the entire piece look as one.
Here is a more detailed shot of the image and the sentiment.
So join us this week and please, don't forget your sentiments!!!!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
ADFD #65
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge #34
